European and Belgian whisky of the year with a score of 96,5

Our Braeckman single grain whisky - single barrel - 12 years (cask: 83) won the honour in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2021. This single grain whisky made from rye and malt matured for 12 years in a first fill Bourbon cask and was bottled at cask strength: 66,1% vol. This was a single cask bottling, limited to 242 bottles.

All Braeckman whiskies keep their natural colour and are non chill filtered, so no acquired flavours are lost.

It is an enormous honour for our family distillery to receive this recognition. It is a great achievement and gives us a lot of motivation to continue on this path. A focus on regional raw materials, perfecting the production process and a lot of patience for an honest, natural product are some of our main values.
